Bus Tour to Gettysburg


Join Dr. Wayne Van Gelderen and his wife, Beverly, on a memorable coach bus tour to Gettysburg and the Appomattox Court House, with a one-day stopover in Washington, DC.  Our group will enjoy the beauty of eastern Pennsylvania and northern Virginia as we focus on key aspects of the latter half of the American Civil War.  Insight and instruction will be guided by BCM history professor, Terry Swanson.  Not only will you experience first-hand the site of the turning point of the Civil War and the location of the immortal "Gettysburg Address," you will also contemplate at Appomattox the task of seeing anew your part that "this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom—and that government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth."
