Fellowships

Much of student life at BCM revolves around the student Fellowships. These Fellowships, named after faith-filled missionaries, provide a framework for spiritual encouragement, social interaction, intramural sports, student activities, and ministry opportunities. Each of the Fellowships is student-led, giving young men and women the opportunity to hone practical leadership skills. The Fellowships are co-ed, providing a venue for godly young men and women to learn to cooperate effectively in the work of the ministry and keep their focus on serving God together.

Weekly Fellowship Chapels

At the core of fellowship life is the weekly fellowship chapel. This hour gives a meaningful opportunity for students to have fun, encourage one another, pray for one another, and challenge one another through the preaching of the Word of God. Each fellowship is led by four elected officers. Before you know it, you'll find yourself joining the myriad of other students proudly wearing your fellowship colors every Thursday!

Sports

Fellowships compete against each other in three sport seasons: (1) A short, co-ed softball season is played in September and early October; (2) Co-ed, indoor volleyball runs from October to November, and (3) A men's basketball season is played throughout second semester. You'll love the spirit at these games as students cheer on their team!

Bible Memory

If you are going to be an effective soldier of Jesus Christ, you must be well acquainted with your weapon, the Bible. Recognizing this reality, the fellowships place a high priority on encouraging everyone to be involved in consistent Bible memory. This friendly accountability goes a long way in equipping you to serve Jesus wherever He may call you.

Student Body Activities

Most activities involving the entire student body revolve around fellowship life. Whether it's a decorating contest for a major church function, an exciting competition off-campus, or a more relaxing educational trip to a historic site nearby, the fellowships always seem to be involved. Each fellowship also has the opportunity each year to prepare a special chapel for the entire student body, which is a highlight for many.

Ministry/Missions Trips

One of the primary purposes of the fellowships has always been to mobilized students in practical ministry experiences beyond their normal weekly ministry opportunities. These trips give the fellowship focus in prayer, clarity of purpose, and a hands-on opportunity to see that the gospel is still the power of God unto salvation no matter where you are in the world!

Weekend Ministry Trips

Weekend ministry trips to local churches within driving distance are a wonderful opportunity for an entire fellowship to step out in faith, reach souls, and encourage other local churches. These trips often include opportunities for special music, ministry to teenagers, door-to-door soulwinning, and declaration of truth through testimonies and preaching.

International Missions Trips

International missions trips are also organized through the fellowships for the summer months. These trips provide an incredible opportunity to see the power of the gospel and the need for laborers around the world. On many of these trips, our students have had the opportunity to reach hundreds—sometimes even thousands—of souls with the gospel.
