Tracy Blanton was born in Beaufort, South Carolina, to United Stated Marine Corps Major Chuck and Lenora Cofty.  Although Tracy made a salvation decision as a young child, her life and her family’s life dramatically changed when her father was converted through the influence of her mother.  After attending and graduating from a Christian high school, Tracy attend Bob Jones University, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration.  While attending and working at a Christian camp several summers, Tracy committed her life to serve God in whatever capacity He desired.  She taught at Schaumburg Christian School and Marquette Manor Christian Academy in Illinois and Falls Baptist Academy in Wisconsin from 1987 until she married Art Blanton in 1991.  Blessed with four children–Art Jr., Rebekah, Andy, and Katherine–Tracy taught her children at their Charlotte, North Carolina, home.  Desiring to minister in a greater educational capacity, Tracy began work on an EdD degree in elementary education at Pensacola Christian College when her children began to graduate from high school.

Tracy enjoys teaching in the Wednesday Bible club at church, running the baking business that she and her mother started in 1998, walking, reading, and sitting around a bonfire with family.  Under the guidance and assistance of her pastor and church, Tracy plans to establish a mission school that targets minority children in Charlotte.  Tracy is “so grateful to have the opportunity to minister at BCM in whatever possible. I love this school and the goal of preparing young people to serve the Lord.”
