Vencia Lynn (Morgan) Williamson was born on April 23, 1956 in Clinton, Missouri.  She accepted Jesus as her personal Saviour on September 1, 1975.  Vencia began dating Randy Williamson in high school and were joined in marriage, August 14, 1976.  The Lord has blessed them with two sons and one daughter, and eleven grandchildren.  Vencia attended Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, MO (now University of Central Missouri) for three years of art education study (1974-77).  Upon moving to St. Louis, MO (due to Randy’s employment), she finished her degree at Lindenwood College, St. Charles, MO (1978-79) and graduated with a B.S. in Studio Art in May, 1979.  Upon graduation she began free-lance art for Nazarene Publishing Company (1979-80).

In March of 1980, the Williamsons moved to Independence, MO where they currently reside.  From 1980-81, Vencia taught art at Independence Christian School. Once children came, Vencia stayed home to care and home educate them.  Vencia continued to teach art to their children and other home educated children from 1986-2005.  Once their children were on their own, she began teaching private art lessons in her home from 2008-2015.  Vencia began as a professor at BCM in the fall of 2016.

Other interests of Vencia include drama, photography, sewing, and traveling with Randy.  She has directed plays and coached drama for home educators; has judged elementary and high school art competitions; is currently the church photographer at her home church; and has been to 49 of the 50 states, Canada, Mexico (missions trip) and Poland. Teaching at BCM is an answer to prayer for Vencia who has a passion to pass on what the Lord has taught her of the value in learning art and using it for the glory of God.
